We’re fortunate enough to play around the world but there is no greater feeling than representing your country at home, and the reception from our Welsh fans last year was heart-warming. As captain of the Wales Polo Team my ultimate goal is to increase awareness of Polo and make this fantastic spectator sport more accessible to the masses in Wales, thanks to Castell Polo we’re one step closer to realising this ambition and can’t wait for the 2015 instalment.”

Shakira Obaid, PR Director from the appointed event management agency, Seren7 ltd said: “We will build on the success of last year’s events to ensure that spectators experience the sport, entertainment and glamour synonymous with polo. Bringing this event to the heart of the city will allow us to appeal to new audiences and enhance the platform of this exclusive sport in Wales’ capital city. We look forward to delivering the social event of the season!”

Historically played by royalty and typically attended by the upper echelons of society, polo has become increasingly popular and accessible to a wider audience in recent years. The inaugural event held in 2014 brought the national polo team for Wales back home to play their first game on home soil in over three years with the likes of Welsh rugby legend, Gareth Thomas, and the designer of Princess Diana’s wedding dress, David Emanuel in attendance.
