Oldwalls Gower voted Best Wedding Venue in Wales
Independent five-star retreat, Oldwalls Gower, scooped two awards at the Welsh National Wedding Awards this week, winning the, Best Wedding Venue in the region, as well the, Best Wedding Venue in Wales.
Three of the four venues shortlisted in the South and Central region category were Gower based, recognising the area’s growing reputation as a leading wedding destination in the country.
Managing director, Andrew Hole said: “To be shortlisted alongside incredible venues such as The Celtic Manor and The St David’s Hotel was an honour enough, but to actually win was the icing on the cake. The success is testament to the hard work and dedication of my team who have worked tirelessly to make Oldwalls the leading wedding venue in the country.”
Mr Hole continued: “It’s been a record breaking year for the business and we look forward to building on the success as we enter 2015. The year on year growth has exceeded the forecast and we will continue to invest in Oldwalls in order to remain the biggest employer in Gower and realise our ambitions to put this beautiful area of Wales’ on the map.”
The Welsh National Wedding Awards were held on 23rd November 2014 at The Brangwyn Hall, Swansea and was attending by over 400 guests from the wedding industry.
Established in 2008, by brothers, Andrew and Simon Hole, Oldwalls Gower is situated at the heart of the Gower Peninsula offering luxury accommodation and private event facilities which can be held in the resorts permanent marquee, Oakroom or bar. Set within 50 acres of grounds, Oldwalls launched its Glamping Village in summer 2014 and has plans in place for further re-development the site over the next 24 months.
